If you love old architectural homes, pools and great locations, this Silver Lake craftmsan pool home may steal your heart!
1639 Golden Gate Ave

If you love old homes, it would be hard not to be taken by this Silver Lake craftmsan- talk about great curb appeal. Interestingly, the interior has elements of both old and new. From the original built-ins, fireplace and moldings in the living room and dining room to the funky sunroom with view of the yard and the pool out back.

The home is almost 1400sf and has 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. The lot is rather large for Silver Lake, coming in at 8,600 sf! No wonder there is room for a pool, spa and side yard. There's also a great patio area in the would-be driveway in front of a finished garage that could serve nicely as an office. If you want to park your car in it, that's easy enough but you'll lose the lovely landscaped patio area in front of it.

The home is located just a few blocks from the Silver Lake Farmers market and stores along Sunset Blvd. I didn't check it, but I bet this place has a pretty high walk score. This Silver Lake Craftsman house really has it all: tasteful updates, hardwood floors, crown-moldings, built-ins, formal dining room, sun room and a super yard for entertaining or just relaxing there yourself.
Currently listed with Prudential at $734,000, I expect this house to be gone in a flash! If you'd like to see this property, give me a call and I'd be glad to show it to you. Hi Wanda- I'm a big fan of craftsman homes too. I live in one in Pasadena that was built in 1912. Believe me, this one with the pool is very tempting :-) Do you have many craftsman homes in your area?
Love the California Look that this homes evokes!! True So. Calif living at it's best!
Hi Kathy- this one certainly does evoke that feeling! I think many people would be surprised at just how many different architectural styles are found in the Los Angeles area.
